I cook, I sketch, I write about travel and food, I live in a cottage in the middle of the woods on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, in Devon (UK).

I also have an Instagram account with the ‘culinary cartoons’ called @kitchenaliacartoons and a Twitter account with other meanderings under the name @AntEggSoup which is the title of my book about food culture in Laos published by Hodder. My Book: ‘Ant Egg Soup – The Adventures of a Food Tourist in Laos’ is available on Amazon.

  1. Re your entry about Chudleighs. In the forties and fifties we ate Chudleighs but also had Thunder and Lightning. That was home made white bread, spread thickly with clotted cream and sprinkled with granulated sugar. yummy!
